SMP Sundays

The SMP Sundays project was a Minecraft (game) server that aimed to provide an above-average user experience through high quality marketing and supplementary resources. It provided players with a way to relive past memories through an immersive archival view of previous sessions across a wide range of device types.

The original website, made in Google Sites, was remade into a fully custom solution that greatly improved upon its functionality and design. It allowed for high-fidelity media to be displayed along with the introduction of fully featured landing pages.

This remake of the site features fully custom crafted elements specifically made for SMP Sundays. It takes heavy inspiration from the original site in order to increase familiarity for users used to the old site while adding visual enhancements such as dark mode.

In order to quickly iterate and create a visually striking landing page for Season 10, I used and customised MUI to help speed up creation of interactive elements while adapting to the existing design.

The SMP Sundays project ended on the 10/2/2024, 6 years after its initial release. As the project has ended, it now holds an archives of all sessions as a way to preserve its history.
